The Christmas light displays along The Boulevard in Ivanhoe are one of Melbourne's most iconic festive traditions. This beloved resident-led event has delighted visitors for years with its magical displays, spreading Christmas cheer throughout the community.
The event was paused in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19, then cautiously returned in 2022 with scaled-down displays and limited traffic management. From 2023 onward, it steadily grew again, with some traffic controls, portable toilets, and a few food vendors supporting the renewed community displays each year.
For 2025, the event promises to be as magical as ever, with the community pulling out all the stops to make this year's displays truly memorable.
